Family-run furniture brand, USM, has teamed up with premiere audio furniture and lifestyle brand Symbol on the launch of a new capsule collection. Swiss-based USM has been providing timeless modular furniture designs for more than 50 years, and has even been recognised as a design classic when USM was formally accepted into The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Architecture and Design collection in 2001.
Much like USM, Symbol, the world’s preeminent maker of solid wood vinyl & audio storage consoles, is also a family-owned and operated business, based out of New York City. A passion for designing furniture that has long-term functional and emotional value for the people who use it united the two brand to work on four collections of audio and record storage pieces.
Designed by Symbol utilising USM’s iconic modular component system, the pieces are tailored to house a broad range of audio equipment – from SONOS speakers, to audiophile amplifiers and turntables. An infinitely expandable system featuring “record store style” flip bins above, and open storage below, the USM x Symbol Vinyl Storage Cabinet collection is available in 4 sizes to seamlessly accommodate a range of collection sizes but additional units can be linked together as collections expand over time.

Celebrating the beauty of album cover art, music enthusiasts and design lovers alike can create a personalised gallery of favourite album covers on tilting display shelves that lift up to reveal hidden storage. Add optional, integrated and dimmable lighting for a truly museum-like experience. Shelves below provide higher volume record storage and include proprietary sliding bookends to accommodate expanding collections while ensuring impeccable organisation.
