The exhibition dedicated to emerging designers and innovative work is back for 2020 and is still accepting entries
Ventura Projects will return to Milan Design Week in 2020 to curate a range of spaces featuring works from existing and emerging designers, with innovative and developing projects taking their place in the Ventura Future show. Taking place once more in BASE Milano, Ventura Future highlights products, objects and production methods that develop – and often question – the existing design world.
Entries for Ventura Future close on 12 January, with designers invited to submit visuals or concepts for their proposed project and apply online here.
Last year’s exhibition included everything from textiles made of found feathers to a range of furniture made with mental health and the impact on our senses in mind. Another project from last year, GoodWaste, created by three graduates from the Royal College of Art, turned waste marble into appealing tables, shelves and clocks and now has a range sold in London’s Selfridges.

The Ventura Future exhibition, located in Tortona, opposite the MUDEC museum of design and culture, houses projects large and small, with the unifying theme being cutting edge, future-focused design. The projects selected come from designers from a range of backgrounds, including students, established brands, galleries and independent studios – anyone with work that focuses on future developments in the design field is encouraged to enter.

For 2020, Ventura Future is seeking projects and concepts that come from a range of disciplines, including architecture, product design and multidiscplinary works, as well as from social and service designers. Circular and sustainable design are also key themes, and process-driven crafts – whether modern or traditional – are welcome.
